Senior Quality Engineer
Position:

Job Description:
The Senior Quality Engineer reports to the Quality Manager and plays a key leadership role in the developing, monitoring, and controlling of ARSC’s Quality Management System (QMS). He/she leads the resolving of internal and external quality notifications (non-conformances), and as such is adept at data gathering, root cause identification, and corrective action implementation. This requires an objective, engineering-based approach to problem solving and the ability and willingness to communicate well with a diversely trained set of personnel, from the shop floor, to senior leadership executives and external customers. The Senior Quality Engineer also regularly identifies operational process gaps and opportunities, makes intelligent recommendations to management, and with supervision and guidance from the Quality Manager acts as a tactful (leading) force for change. He/she regularly displays a constant sense of urgency in their work, is a good listener, willing to adapt, and able to keep an open mind while always maintaining a laser-like focus on multiple short and long term goals at any given time. A team player.
Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Lead process for resolution of all product non-conformances
- Support Quality Manager in optimization, training, implementation, monitoring, and controlling of ARSC’s Quality Management System; regularly supports certification compliance audit activities.
- Act as a senior gatekeeper for customer quality & risk. A primary point of contact for escalation of issues.
- Coordinate customer and vendor returns (RMA)
- Provide process direction and oversight for internal and external rework (or other service) activities
- Enhance and develop processes to reduce opportunities for error, defects, escape rates, etc.
- Audit new and existing supplier processes as needed. Occasional on-site visits may be required.
- Lead customer correspondence of escalated quality issues with professionalism and excellent verbal/written communication
- Recognize and react appropriately to out of control process conditions.
- Promote best in class inspection methodologies
- Manage and oversee completion of PPAP documentation including Process Flow Diagrams, Process Failure Mode & Effect Analysis, Control Plans, FAI, Capability Studies, GR&R, etc.
- Participate and lead in safety activities, audits, and training. Follow all safety rules and regulations per the Employee Handbook.
Behaviors, Skills & Experience:
Must-Have
- A four year college degree in a technical field (Engineering preferred)
- 3-5 years experience implementing and providing oversight of a formal quality management system (automotive or steel wire industry preferred)
- Working knowledge of statistics and statistical process control
- Familiarity with audited QMS certification standards and requirements (IATF preferred)
- Formal project management experience
- Working knowledge/experience with Microsoft Office suite of applications
- Working knowledge/experience with APQP methodologies (PPAP, FMEAs, Control Plans…)
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Strong time management skills; able to balance multiple projects with changing priorities
- Familiarity with basic manufacturing measurement systems; Micrometers, Calipers and Rockwell verification/testing
- Self-directed/works independently as needed
- Unshakable and relentless focus on process
- Strong aptitude and willingness to train and elevate others

Quality Assurance Inspector
Position:
Full Time-Immediate need
One first shift opening (7 am – 3:30 pm)
One second shift opening (3:30 pm – 12 am)

Location:

Job Description:
The Quality Assurance Inspector reports to the Quality Manager and plays a key role in verifying parts meet quality standards according to specifications by performing various inspections and audits during the production process. They document results in reports/logs as required. He/she works closely with the production and the quality teams and is a critical thinker, a good listener and is willing to adapt to the situation as needed. A team player.
Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Perform routine and repetitive inspection procedures to ensure quality levels during the production process utilizing a variety of measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, protractors, & optical comparators
- Verify accuracy of SPC charts
- Help train operators to use measuring equipment accurately and on accurate SPC charting procedures as needed
- Report problems to Production and Quality management to prevent defects
- Keeps accurate and organized documentation of all inspections and audits performed
- Other tasks as needed
Behaviors, Skills & Experience:
Must-Have
- Previous quality assurance experience

- Ability to read and interpret drawings to verify accuracy of parts
